Another Congo virus case reported in Karachi
Total number of cases rises to three this year
A 33-year-old man in Karachi diagnosed with Congo virus, who was admitted to Jinnah Hospital with symptoms consistent with the Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), including high-grade fever, bleeding, and semi-consciousness.
Doctors and experts at Jinnah Hospital, Karachi, have confirmed the presence of the virus after a series of tests and medical examinations.
After this case, the total number of Congo virus or CCHF cases in Karachi has jumped to three so far this year.
The patient, a barber by profession, hails from Karachi’s Bhains Colony.
