At least 3 killed, 7 injured after gunmen open fire on bus in Kalat
At least three people were killed and seven others injured after gunmen opened fire on a passenger coach in Kalat, Balochistan, on Wednesday.
According to Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind, the assault took place in the Narmuk area of Kalat as the bus was en route from Karachi to Quetta.
Shahid Rind said that security forces and local administration teams reached the spot after the incident and shifted the injured to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Kalat, where a state of emergency has been declared.
According to Shahid Rind, the condition of some of the injured is critical.
“Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track the attackers,” said Rind.
He added that efforts were ongoing to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
