A sensational incident of abduction of Pakistani youths after being honey-trapped and invited abroad by Indian girls on social media has come to light.

The three young men, who belong to Sahiwal, were lured to Thailand by women posing as Indian nationals on social media.

The victims — identified as Usman Amin, Muhammad Ahmed, and Tajammul Shehzad — were abducted after reaching Thailand.

Their captors have demanded a ransom of Rs10 million from their families.

According to police, the young men had been in contact with an Indian girl via phone.

Family members claimed that the Indian girl sent air tickets to Thailand directly to the youths’ mobile phones.

The three departed from Lahore Airport, reportedly seen off by unidentified individuals at the terminal.

After reaching Thailand, the victims were kidnapped, and their families received phone calls from captors who demanded Rs10 million ransom for their release.

The authorities have launched investigations into the incident which has sparked outrage among parents.

Many citizens have voiced concern over this emerging trend of using social media traps to abduct youth abroad.
