Gas supply disrupted as pipeline blown up in Lakki Marwat
A section of the main gas pipeline supplying fuel from the Betani oil field to Punjab was destroyed in an explosion carried out by unidentified assailants in Lakki Marwat’s Wanda Amir area.
The blast, which occurred within the jurisdiction of Thana Saddar, caused significant disruption to gas distribution.
Security forces swiftly responded to the scene, securing the area and initiating a detailed investigation into the attack.
This incident marks the third attack on the gas pipeline in just one month, fueling serious concerns over both energy supply interruptions and the worsening security situation.
Officials stated that assessment of the damage and repair work will commence shortly, while security around the pipeline is being further reinforced to prevent future sabotage.
