Mobile data sheds light on Humaira Asghar’s last days of life
The investigation into the enigmatic death of renowned actress Humaira Asghar has seen significant progress.
According to Aaj News, investigators have accessed details from her mobile data, uncovering several hidden facets of the case.
Authorities confirmed that Humaira passed away on October 7, 2024, with her mobile phone last used at 5pm. On that day, she contacted 14 different individuals, a key focus for investigators.
Police recovered three mobile phones, a tablet, a diary, and various important documents from the crime scene. Notably, all three phones contained SIM cards registered to Humaira Asghar.
Investigators found that two of the phones were unlocked, while the password for the third phone and the tablet was noted in her personal diary, indicating she wasn’t trying to conceal her data.
The investigation revealed that a total of 2,215 numbers were saved across the phones, with continuous contact records for 75 of them. A few of these numbers have been shortlisted for further inquiry.
Additionally, no activity was detected on Humaira’s mobile phone after October 7, reinforcing the timeline of her death. The police are preparing to interview the 14 individuals she contacted on her last day.
Sources indicate that several confidential and sensitive details regarding the actress’s life have emerged, which will be thoroughly examined to uncover the true motivations behind the case.
Humaira Asghar’s body was discovered in an apartment in Karachi, and her sister-in-law has alleged that it was not a suicide but a murder.
The police have stated that they plan to finalize the case soon by consolidating both forensic and digital evidence.
