French President Emmanuel Macron has termed the recent India-Pakistan war as one of the most intense aerial conflicts in the past decade.

During the announcement of a new defense spending plan, Macron highlighted that recent months have seen significant global conflicts, including bombings in Iran, aerial skirmishes between India and Pakistan, and the ongoing war in Ukraine.

In a bold move, President Macron committed to doubling France’s defense budget by 2027, three years ahead of the previously set 2030 target.

He revealed that the military budget, which stood at €32 billion in 2017, is set to rise to €64 billion by 2027.

The President emphasized the necessity of military strength, stating that to remain free in the world, it is crucial to be powerful.
