The elder sister-in-law of the late actress Humaira Asghar has disclosed that the actress was estranged from her family due to her decision to pursue a career in the showbiz industry.

In an exclusive interview with Samaa, she revealed that Humaira’s family had long been unhappy with her professional choices, which strained her relationships with close relatives, including her elder brother.

“Humaira’s family was not in favor of her working in the entertainment industry,” she stated. “Despite this, she maintained contact with me. Our last conversation was in August 2024, after which her phone was consistently switched off.”

The sister-in-law noted that Humaira seemed emotionally distant during their last interaction but did not provide specific details about any concerns.

Additionally, she mentioned that Humaira’s elder brother, who reportedly opposed her career, did not attend her funeral.

Humaira Asghar, known for her television performances and modeling work, passed away under circumstances that have raised questions on social media.

As of now, no official statement has been released by law enforcement regarding the cause of her death.
