Karachi: Decomposed body of woman discovered abandoned in drum
In an incident in Karachi, the body of an unknown woman has been discovered in a drum. Police report that the body is approximately 25 days old and shows signs of severe damage and mutilation.
Authorities report that the woman’s body was bound prior to being placed in the drum, with initial examinations estimating her age to be around 30 years. The body was discovered in Sharafi Goth, near Malir Nadi.
This revelation comes just after the discovery of actress Humaira Asghar’s months-old body, highlighting the escalating concerns about safety in the city.
Reports suggest that the suspects arrived in a vehicle, discarded the drum on a main road, and then fled the scene.
The body has been taken to Jinnah Hospital, where medical staff noted a strong odor.
Police have collected samples for chemical analysis to ascertain the cause and timing of death.
As of now, the woman’s identity remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing. Police are working to obtain CCTV footage and trace the vehicle used by the suspects.
Authorities emphasize that this incident indicates a serious crime, urging citizens to report to local police if they have any information about a missing female relative.
