Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has called an important joint parliamentary meeting today (Saturday) at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Lahore, aiming to future course of action and its protest movement plan.

Members of both the National and provincial assemblies have been invited to deliberate on the party’s future course of action.

According to party sources, the meeting will include detailed discussions on the current political situation, protest strategies, and ways to ensure greater engagement from party workers.

The gathering will be attended by PTI MNAs, MPAs, and senior leadership, with input and suggestions being sought from all participants.

PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan arrived at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad ahead of the meeting and, during an informal media interaction, clarified, “There is no possibility of arrests. We are heading to Lahore solely for a consultative meeting.”

He added, “our movement is entirely peaceful. There is no protest or rally — it’s merely a meeting with party parliamentarians.”

Following his statement, a convoy of PTI lawmakers from both National and provincial assemblies departed Islamabad for Lahore, led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

The convoy members confirmed they plan to return immediately after the meeting concludes.

Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, also visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad and held consultations with the party’s central leadership.

Sources suggest that CM Gandapur is expected to reach Lahore by evening, where he will meet senior PTI leaders, including Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, and members of the Punjab Assembly.

Later in the evening, he will attend a dinner at a private farmhouse, where discussions will continue on the strategic roadmap of the party’s “Azadi Tehreek” (Freedom Movement).

PTI leader Salman Akram Raja further clarified the party’s position, saying, “Our movement is completely peaceful. We are not heading to Lahore for any protest activity — this is strictly a consultative meeting, and we will return afterward.”

This high-level meeting comes at a time when PTI is in the process of reorganizing its nationwide protest activities, with party leadership contemplating new political pressure tactics in the coming days.
