The Balochistan government has launched a search operation following reports of the abduction of passengers near Sur-Dakai, a restive region in the province. According to provincial government spokesperson Shahid Rind, security forces are actively working to ensure the safe recovery of those kidnapped.

Rind stated that while there are confirmed reports of an abduction, he refrained from disclosing the number of passengers taken, citing operational sensitivity.

He further revealed that militants belonging to the so-called “Fitna al Hindustan” carried out coordinated attacks at three separate locations: Quetta, Kalat, and Mastung, including the Sur-Dakai area. “Security forces responded swiftly and effectively at all three sites,” Rind said during a press briefing.

The spokesperson assured the public that security forces remain on high alert and are making all necessary efforts to safeguard lives and property. The rescue operation is currently focused on locating the abducted individuals and neutralising threats in the region.

The situation is developing, and further updates are expected from the authorities as the search operation progresses.
