The Corps Commanders Conference, chaired by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in Rawalpindi on Thursday, reiterated that the safety and security of the Pakistani people remain the top priority of the armed forces, and that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not be forgotten.

The forum emphasised that decisive and comprehensive operations against Indian-sponsored proxy networks are imperative at all levels.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conference was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military).

The meeting began with prayers for the security personnel martyred in recent terror attacks carried out by India-backed proxies.

The forum also reviewed recent counterterrorism operations and the achievements of security forces in detail.

The commanders reaffirmed their resolve that the blood of the martyrs would not go in vain and declared that ensuring public safety is the military’s foremost mission.

The forum strongly emphasised that continued, decisive operations against Indian-backed proxies are essential.

Following its setback in the Pahalgam incident, India is now trying to advance its nefarious agenda through the use of proxies aligned with extremist ideologies, including Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan, the meeting observed.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also briefed the conference on Pakistan’s active diplomatic engagements, highlighting successful recent visits alongside the prime minister to Iran, Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The forum was also updated on the army chief’s historic and unique visit to the United States, where top American leadership was directly presented with Pakistan’s principled stance on bilateral, regional, and international matters.

Amid recent developments in the Middle East and Iran, the forum discussed national and regional security and expressed concern over the global trend of prioritising the use of force as a primary policy tool.

In this context, the need for national self-reliance, unity, and collective resolve was underlined.

Field Marshal Asim Munir criticised India’s attempt to involve third parties in bilateral military tensions, calling it a blatant effort to promote its own bloc politics and to misleadingly portray itself as a regional net security provider.

He stated that the international community is increasingly disillusioned with India’s expansionist ambitions and the dangerous rise of Hindutva extremism.

The conference also received briefings on evolving warfare dynamics and emerging threats, along with innovations and strategic adaptations made by the Pakistan Army.

Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated the leadership of the Pakistan Navy and Air Force for strengthening tri-services coordination.

Field Marshal Munir expressed full confidence in the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Armed Forces to meet any threats facing the nation.
