Unidentified attackers blow up under construction girls’ school in Bannu
Unidentified assailants have detonated explosives at an under-construction government girls’ primary school in Takhti Khel Bakakhel, Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The incident has caused buildings to destroy and heightened concerns over attacks on educational institutions.
Police said that explosives had been planted inside the building, which went off with a powerful blast, causing extensive damage to the structure.
Fortunately, there were no casualties as the school was still under construction and unoccupied at the time of the explosion.
Security in the area has been stepped up, and an investigation is underway to trace those responsible.
The attack has triggered widespread concern among local residents, who condemned it as yet another assault by anti-education elements.
