UAE denies rumors of lifetime golden visa for certain nationalities
The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has dismissed reports circulating in some local and international media outlets and websites claiming that the UAE is offering a lifetime Golden Visa to certain nationalities.
In an official statement, the ICP clarified that no such policy exists, and urged the public not to believe unverified information.
It emphasised that all Golden Visa applications are processed solely through official government channels within the UAE, and no internal or external advisory entity is authorised to handle or approve such applications.
The authority reiterated its commitment to transparency and warned against relying on unofficial sources for immigration or residency-related matters.
“The categories of golden residence, their conditions and controls are determined by the UAE laws, legislation and official ministerial decisions,” ICP added.
“Those wishing to know the (requirements for the UAE Golden Visa) can obtain them through the ICP website or smart application.”
Moreover, these claims were shared by several Indian media outlets and some UAE-based organisations, based on a release published on Monday, July 7.
The ICP emphasised its commitment to maintaining a secure and transparent service environment and noted that all official updates and services are provided exclusively through its official digital platforms.
Also, the ICP did not name the source of the unverified press release but stated that legal action will be taken against those responsible for spreading these rumours.
According to the ICP, these entities are attempting to profit by misleading people who aspire to live in the UAE, exploiting their hopes for a safe and stable life.
The ICP advised individuals who wish to visit, live, or invest in the UAE not to fall for false news and misleading claims promising quick gains.
Hence, it also urged the public to rely only on official sources to verify procedures — by visiting the official website or calling their customer service center at 600522222.
