Junaid Ghaffar sworn in as Chief Justice of SHC
Junaid Ghaffar has been sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, with the oath administered by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori. He becomes the 26th person to occupy this esteemed role.
The oath-taking ceremony saw attendance from Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, judges, officials from the High Court and Karachi Bar, senior lawyers, and several international guests.
In related news, Justice Syed Muhammad Atiq Shah of the Peshawar High Court is set to take his oath as Chief Justice today.
The ceremony will be held at 12pm at the Governor House in Peshawar, where Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi will officiate.
Judges from the Peshawar High Court are expected to be present, along with a likely attendance from the Chief Minister.
