Multiple key roads in the remote mountainous areas of Ghazi Tehsil, Haripur, have been blocked due to recent landslides, cutting off ground access to dozens of villages and leaving residents stranded.

The landslides have completely closed major roads, including Baitgali, Devi Road, Palayan Road, Kanirdi Road, and Makarr Road.

More than 36 hours have passed since the initial blockage, yet no progress has been made in clearing the debris or restoring access.

As a result, residents are facing serious challenges in their daily lives.

Transportation has come to a standstill, and the supply of essential food items and medical aid has been severely disrupted.

Moreover, the difficult terrain and the remoteness of the region have prevented rescue teams from reaching the affected areas so far.

Locals have taken it upon themselves to begin clearing the debris, but the absence of heavy machinery continues to hinder their efforts.

Community leaders and residents are now urging the district administration and provincial government to take immediate action by deploying relief teams and equipment to reopen the roads and restore connectivity.
