The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced special traffic arrangements for the 11th Muharram procession, which will take place on Monday in the Noor Pur Shahan area.

According to an ITP spokesperson, the procession will begin at the residence of Nawazish Shah in Noor Pur Shahan. It will pass through Darbar Bazaar Road and enter the Bari Imam shrine before returning to its point of origin for conclusion.

During the procession, T-cross on Quaid-e-Azam University Road and T-cross Bari Imam Chowk will remain closed to general traffic.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider advised commuters to use alternate routes such as Third Road, Margalla Road, Kashmir Chowk, and Murree Road to avoid delays.

He urged the public to refrain from illegal parking along the procession route to help prevent traffic congestion. Vehicles should only be parked in designated areas, he added.

CTO Zeeshan called on citizens to fully cooperate with traffic personnel and support the ITP in ensuring order and safety during the religious gathering.

The ITP remains committed to facilitating the smooth flow of traffic and ensuring the safety of all participants.
