Tragic rickshaw accident in Gabin Jabba: One dead and four injured among Multan tourists

In an accident occurred at Gabin Jabba, a well-known tourist spot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where an overcrowded rickshaw plunged into a deep ravine, leading to one death and four serious injuries. All the victims have been identified as residents of Multan, Punjab.

Police stated that the accident occurred due to brake failure while the rickshaw was returning from Gabin Jabba to Matta, causing it to veer off course and plunge into the ravine.

The Rescue 1122 team promptly responded, transporting the deceased and the injured to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Matta.

The deceased has been identified as Salman, while the injured individuals are 25-year-old Zubair, 30-year-old Nauman, 28-year-old Maneh, and 32-year-old Islam. Hospital sources indicated that some of the injured are in critical condition.

Local police have initiated preliminary investigations at the scene, and rescue officials have urged tourists to exercise caution in mountainous areas.

With Swat’s tourist spots currently bustling with visitors, this incident underscores the ongoing concerns regarding safety measures.
