The 9th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) between Pakistan and Poland took place in Warsaw, where both sides reviewed the full scope of their bilateral relationship.
Ambassador Muhammad Ayub, Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe), led the Pakistani delegation, while the Polish side was headed by Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, Secretary of State at Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Poland, Muhammad Sami-ur-Rehman, and Poland’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Maciej Pisarski, also attended the meeting, according to a statement from the Foreign Office on Saturday.
During the consultations, the Pakistani side reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with Poland across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, energy, defence and security, science and technology, agriculture, migration, and higher education.
Both countries agreed to expand cooperation through high-level exchanges, parliamentary visits, and continued dialogue. They also held in-depth discussions on regional and international issues of mutual interest, particularly developments in South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
The delegations found common ground on several key matters and agreed to enhance coordination at multilateral platforms, such as the United Nations.
It was mutually decided that the next round of consultations will be held in Islamabad in 2026.
