PAF chief lauds NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s parliamentary role
Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu has written a letter of appreciation to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, acknowledging his commendable parliamentary role in uniting the nation against Indian aggression.
The letter was written in response to an earlier communication from the National Assembly Speaker, in which he had praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and the armed forces for their exceptional courage in defending the country.
In his letter, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu stated that the PAF deeply values the Speaker’s efforts in fostering national solidarity during times of external threats.
“Your leadership in promoting national unity in the face of Indian aggression is highly admirable. The Pakistan Air Force is grateful for the expression of parliamentary support,” the letter read.
He further remarked that the solidarity shown by Members of the National Assembly towards the PAF is a matter of pride.
“The tributes paid by the parliamentary and national leadership for the PAF’s effective response to hostile acts are unforgettable. Our success is a reflection of divine support and the nation’s unity,” he wrote.
The air chief reiterated that national cohesion has thwarted the enemy’s malicious intentions.
“With the nation’s unwavering support, the armed forces are fully capable of meeting every challenge. The PAF remains ever ready to defend Pakistan’s borders, which it considers a sacred duty,” he added.
Reaffirming the PAF’s commitment, he assured continued cooperation in achieving national objectives.
Earlier, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had sent letters of appreciation to both Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, commending the armed forces — particularly the PAF — for their extraordinary bravery in delivering a forceful response to India.
The Speaker had also reiterated parliament’s steadfast support and solidarity with the armed forces in his message.
