Chief of the South African Air Force, Lieutenant General Wiseman Simo Mbambo, called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting centred on enhancing defence cooperation, fostering military ties, and discussing issues of mutual interest.

Both sides explored practical measures to deepen collaboration between their armed forces and exchanged views on global and regional geopolitical developments.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza briefed the visiting dignitary on Pakistan’s perspective on the regional security environment and underlined the country’s efforts for maintaining peace and stability.

Lieutenant General Mbambo commended the professional standards of Pakistan’s armed forces and paid homage to their sacrifices in the war against terrorism.

Earlier, on his arrival at the headquarters, the South African Air Force Chief was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent.
