Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday put into effect a law passed by parliament last month to suspend cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog IAEA, Iranian state media reported.

Iran’s parliament had approved a bill on June 25 to suspend cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, state-affiliated news outlet Nournews reported.

The move followed an air war with Israel in which Iran’s longtime enemy said it wanted to prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear weapon.
