Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has announced a substantial increase in the ex-factory prices of its KIA vehicle lineup, effective from July 1, 2025.

“Our focus has consistently been on offering the highest quality products at competitive prices,” the company announced in a notification to dealers.

“However, recent developments have had a significant impact on prices, including the imposition of the NEV [New Energy Vehicle] levy in the federal budget, continued depreciation of the Pakistani rupee, and rising international freight costs.”

The price hikes, which go up to Rs700,000 on certain models, follow the implementation of the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy introduced under the Finance Act 2025.

“Despite our best efforts to minimise and absorb the impact, a price adjustment is being implemented from 1st July,” it added.

However, electric and hybrid vehicles, export-only models, vehicles used by diplomatic missions, and those belonging to international organizations with diplomatic privileges are exempt from the levy.

Among the revised prices, the KIA Picanto AT has seen an increase of Rs150,000, now retailing at Rs4.09 million. The Stonic EX+ has risen by Rs499,000, reaching Rs5.99 million, while the Stonic EX is now priced at Rs4.86 million after a Rs95,000 hike.

The Sorento HEV FWD and its EMI version now sell for Rs15.29 million and Rs15.79 million, respectively — both reflecting a Rs600,000 increase. The largest price jump has been seen in the Sorento HEV AWD and its EMI version, each up by Rs700,000, now priced at Rs16.69 million and Rs17.19 million, respectively.

Interestingly, the prices of KIA’s electric models — the EV5 Air, EV5 Earth, and EV9 — remain unchanged, reflecting the NEV levy exemption for new energy vehicles.

LMC clarified that all customer orders invoiced on or after July 1, 2025, will be subject to the revised prices. The company also stated that any additional duties, taxes, or currency-related price changes imposed by the government at the time of delivery will be borne by the customer.
