Pakistan reports 14th polio case of the year
Another polio case has been reported in Pakistan, bringing the total number of cases across the country in 2025 to 14, according to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC).
The latest case has emerged from Miranshah in North Waziristan, where a 19-month-old child tested positive for the poliovirus.
So far this year, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 8 cases, Sindh 4, Punjab 1, and Gilgit-Baltistan 1, making KP the most affected province.
Despite ongoing eradication efforts by the government and health authorities, the resurgence of polio remains a pressing public health concern.
Vaccination drives and awareness campaigns continue across the country in an attempt to eliminate the virus.
