Second monsoon spell to enter Karachi from July 5
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has stated that the first spell of monsoon rain in Karachi has ended, while the second spell is expected to enter Sindh from July 5.
As of Monday, the weather in Karachi remained partly cloudy, with humidity levels recorded at 68%.
The current temperature in the city is 32 degrees Celsius, but the feel-like temperature is around 36 degrees Celsius due to high humidity.
The maximum temperature is expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius on Monday (today).
At present, cloudy skies hover over the city, and the weather remains overcast.
Also, winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 20 kilometres per hour.
The Met Office stated that while the second monsoon spell is likely to reach Sindh by the end of this week, it is still too early to determine exactly when it will reach Karachi or how intense its impact might be.
Moreover, the forecast suggested that the monsoon season will continue until September, with intermittent spells expected throughout the period.
