Field Marshal Asim Munir visits CMH Bannu, inquires after injured soldiers
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Bannu to inquire about the health of security personnel injured in a terrorist attack.
He also attended the funeral prayers of the martyred soldiers, paying homage to their supreme sacrifices.
According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir also visited the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar, where he was briefed on counter-terrorism operations and the current security situation in the region.
He was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar upon arrival.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated the state’s firm resolve to eliminate terrorism, stating that facilitators of terrorism will be brought to justice and the true face of terrorism will be exposed to the world.
He assured the nation that the blood of every innocent Pakistani would be avenged.
He also emphasized the importance of enhancing the capabilities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, and pledged full support in strengthening the operational capacity of law enforcement and security institutions.
During his visit to CMH Bannu, the army chief interacted with the injured soldiers.
“The entire nation stands united in its determination to root out terrorism once and for all,” he stated.
