Pakistan, US agree to wrap up trade negotiations next week
Significant progress has been made in the ongoing trade negotiations between Pakistan and the United States, as both countries have agreed to finalise a comprehensive trade agreement by next week.
A virtual meeting was held on June 24 between Finance Minister Mohammed Aurangzeb and the US Secretary of Commerce.
During the session, both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress of ongoing discussions and reaffirmed their commitment to resolving all technical-level issues within the coming week.
The two sides emphasized that the prospective trade agreement would mark a new chapter in bilateral relations and ensure mutual benefits for both nations.
According to sources, the talks also included discussions on potential cooperation across various sectors.
Both governments expressed confidence that a comprehensive agreement, beneficial to both Pakistan and the United States, would soon be concluded.
