Pakistan extends airspace ban for Indian aircraft
Pakistan has extended its airspace restrictions for Indian aircraft, according to a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority.
As per the notification, Indian commercial and military aircraft will remain barred from entering Pakistani airspace until July 23, 2025. The ban also applies to aircraft registered in India or leased by Indian entities.
The restriction was initially imposed in response to India’s ban on Pakistani flights, which was enforced after the Pahalgam incident. In retaliation, Pakistan barred Indian aircraft from using its airspace.
The NOTAM reaffirms that the ban covers all Indian-registered aircraft, including passenger and military planes, and will remain in place for at least another month.
