PM Shehbaz calls NSC meeting amid Iran‑Israel‑US tension
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) tomorrow to discuss the escalating tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, sources confirmed.
Senior civil and military leadership will attend the high-level meeting, scheduled to take place at 12pm at the Prime Minister’s House.
According to government sources, the committee will engage in detailed consultations on the ongoing tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, with major decisions expected, potentially including support for Iran.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will brief participants on his recent visit to the United States. The meeting will also review the domestic and border security situation.
The NSC will also review the country’s internal and border security situation. Key attendees will include Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
