The Met Office has announced that pre-monsoon rainfall is expected to continue until June 23, with intermittent showers across various regions.

Rainfall is forecasted in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir, with some areas likely to experience heavy downpours and thunderstorms.

The pre-monsoon season has officially commenced across the country, bringing optimism for relief to citizens enduring extreme heat.

Cities such as Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Rawalpindi are anticipated to receive rain, while strong winds and dust storms may affect Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, regions including Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, and Bannu are also expected to see winds and rain.

Rainfall is set to begin today in various areas of Sindh, with dusty winds predicted for the southern and eastern districts of Balochistan.

Meteorological experts indicate that these rains will likely lower temperatures, providing significant relief from the heat.

Citizens are advised to take precautions due to the potential risk of urban flooding.

Additionally, the Met Office has recommended that farmers adjust their agricultural activities in accordance with the changing weather conditions.
