Bomb blast derails two bogies of Jaffar Express near Jacobabad
Two bogies of the Jaffar Express derailed on Wednesday following a bomb explosion on the railway track near Jacobabad.
However, there were no casualties reported in the incident.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jacobabad Saddam Hussein Khaskhaili, the derailment was caused by an explosive device planted on the tracks. He confirmed that all passengers on board remained unharmed.
“The bomb disposal squad was immediately dispatched to the site and full security was ensured for the safety of the passengers,” the SSP told media representatives at the scene.
He added that security personnel were actively collecting evidence from the site as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have cordoned off the area and launched a probe to identify those responsible for the attack.
