HSD price rises by Rs7.95 per litre

The federal government announced an increase in the prices of petroleum products, raising the cost of both Motor Spirit (MS) Petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) for the upcoming fortnight, starting June 16, 2025 on Sunday.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of motor spirit (MS) petrol has been increased by Rs4.80 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs258.43 per litre, up from the previous Rs253.63.

Similarly, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been raised by Rs7.95 per litre.

The new rate for HSD stands at Rs262.59 per litre, compared to its earlier price of Rs254.64.

The ministry stated that the price adjustments were made based on the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and in consultation with relevant ministries.
