No relief announced for masses in Sindh budget: Opposition
Opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, Ali Khursheedi, on Friday strongly criticised the provincial government’s handling of the budget, accusing it of authoritarianism and ignoring the needs of urban Sindh.
Speaking to the media, Khursheedi condemned what he called the government’s dictatorial behaviour during the budget session.
“We had expected that the Sindh government would provide relief to the people, but the budget has delivered nothing,” he said.
He alleged that the budget does not address the concerns of urban Sindh. He further accused the government of bulldozing opposition proposals without due consideration.
PM meets MQM leaders, assures steady completion of K-IV project
Khursheedi claimed that the Sindh chief minister negated his own remarks made in the pre-budget session.
“Today, the government showed an authoritarian attitude. The MQM strongly condemns this behaviour,” he remarked.
“We thought the Sindh government would offer public some relief — but the budget failed to come up to expectations,” Khursheedi added.
“In the pre-budget session, our suggestions were acknowledged, but today, the Chief Minister himself contradicted those earlier commitments,” the MQM leader claimed.
