Gold prices surge again, rise by Rs4,300 in one day
Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on Thursday, with a sharp rise recorded in both local and global markets.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold increased by Rs4,300 per tola, reaching Rs358,400. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs3,687, taking it to Rs307,270.
In the international market, gold prices also surged significantly, with the yellow metal climbing $43 to hit $3,400 per ounce.
Market analysts attributed the domestic price hike to the consistent upward trend in global gold rates. Investors say international market pressures are directly influencing the local bullion trade, driving prices upward.
This persistent surge has once again brought gold rates in Pakistan near record levels, sparking concerns among jewellery buyers and traders alike.
