Imran Khan, the jailed founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has conveyed that he is prepared to spend his entire life behind bars but will not bow down under any pressure, according to his sister Aleema Khan.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail alongside her two sisters after meeting the former prime minister, Aleema Khan relayed his message, stating that the PTI founder has asked the party to prepare for a major nationwide movement. She quoted him as saying that he would no longer call people to Islamabad but would instead lead a movement across the country.

Aleema Khan said Imran Khan had shared three key points during their meeting. He reportedly complained that he was being denied even the basic rights granted to an ordinary prisoner. He had been allowed to speak to his children only once in the last eight months and was also not being permitted to meet his sisters.

She further claimed that the prison administration was not allowing them to deliver books to him, and that he was being denied check-ups by his personal doctors. She also alleged that court orders on contempt petitions were being ignored. Imran Khan had reportedly said that no matter what kind of torture or oppressive system was imposed, he would never accept slavery.

According to Aleema Khan, her brother also said that his wife, Bushra Bibi, was being kept in jail solely to pressure him. He stated that even if he was imprisoned for life, he would not surrender.

Commenting on claims made by some YouTubers suggesting a possible deal and imminent release of the PTI founder, Aleema Khan said that such narratives were being spread deliberately to cool down public sentiments.

She added that Imran Khan had sent a message to party members stressing that PTI was an ideological party, not one reliant on electables. He had emphasised that many young workers were enduring jail for the party’s cause, and that there would be no space for those who were not aligned with the ideology or were playing both sides.

She also quoted him expressing frustration over judicial delays, especially in the Al-Qadir Trust case, which had not been scheduled for a hearing in three months. He also mentioned pending bail cases, including those related to May 9. Despite assurances by judges, he claimed, the cases were not being heard.

PTI chairman says party hopes for Imran Khan’s release this week

Aleema Khan said Imran Khan had instructed the party to gear up for a large-scale movement across the country. She added that their family would approach the High Court and that all MNAs and MPAs from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would gather at the Islamabad High Court to show support for the judges.

Earlier on, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan predicted that Party Founder, Imran Khan, could be released from Jail before Eid ul Azha. Chairman Gohar said that his party is hopeful to see their leader released from the Adiala Jail, as the cases are expected to be heard soon.
