Four missing tourists from Punjab found dead after tragic crash in Gilgit-Baltistan
Four young men from Gujrat, Punjab, who had been reported missing for several days during a tourism trip to Gilgit-Baltistan, were found dead after their vehicle was discovered crashed on the Gilgit-Skardu Road.
According to local police, the accident occurred near the Ganji Pura area.
The vehicle, which had veered off the road, was found to contain the remains of all four individuals.
Authorities have launched a formal investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
The men had reached Gilgit and Hunza a few days earlier in a white Honda Civic, bearing license plate ANE 805, their families told authorities.
They said that the tourists made final contact with their families on the night of May 15, when they departed from Gilgit for Skardu.
They last phone communication occurred near the Danyor area.
