Gold crosses Rs350,000 mark in Pakistan
Gold prices surged once again on Friday in both global and domestic markets, pushing local rates to an all-time high.
According to market data, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs3,500 per tola, reaching Rs351,000 per tola in the local bullion market. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs3,000, settling at Rs300,925.
The jump in domestic prices followed an upward trend in the international bullion market, where gold gained $35 per ounce, reaching $3,326 after a one-day pause.
Similarly, silver prices also recorded an increase. Per tola silver rose by Rs38 to reach Rs3,466, while 10 grams of silver climbed Rs33 to Rs2,971.
Traders attributed the rally to sustained buying in the international market amid economic uncertainty and currency pressures.
Experts say the precious metals market is likely to remain volatile due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and fluctuating dollar values.
