IRSA releases 229,358 cusecs water

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Wednesday released 229,358 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 271,694 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam was 1468.70 feet, which was 66.70 feet higher than the dead level of 1402.00 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 148,300 cusecs and 128,200 cusecs, respectively.

The water level in the River Jhelum at Mangla Dam was 1149.90 feet, which was 99.90 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water was recorded 46,236 cusecs and 24,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa , Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 155,645, 110,858, 61,807 and 25,010 cusecs, respectively.

Similarly, from River Kabul, a total of 40,200 cusecs of water released at Nowshera and 15,088 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
