Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday issued a stern warning to India, stating that if war is imposed again, Pakistan will respond with full force and resolve. Speaking during his visit to the Pakistan Navy Dockyard in Karachi, the Prime Minister praised the role of the Pakistan Navy in Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous, emphasising the armed forces’ readiness and integrated operational capabilities.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the Pakistan Navy had played a vital role in defending the country’s ports and maritime interests, adding that the entire nation stood united like a fortified wall behind the armed forces.

He remarked that the joint operational coordination between the Army, Air Force, and Navy would be remembered as a golden chapter in Pakistan’s history. He said the Navy, like the Army and Air Force, was fully prepared and that its readiness had deterred the enemy from attempting any major naval engagement.

Referring to India’s recent military setbacks, the Prime Minister said that the enemy had been paralysed despite its numerical and technological superiority. He claimed that Pakistan’s forces had taught India a lesson it would never forget, adding that following humiliating defeats in air and ground encounters, the Indian Navy lacked the will to confront Pakistan’s naval power.

Highlighting the strategic success of PNS Mehran’s martyred officer, Lieutenant Yasir, the Prime Minister paid tribute to his bravery and sacrifice. He noted that the officer gave his life while defending the country’s maritime assets and honour, calling him and all martyrs the pride of the nation.

He further stated that during the recent hostilities, India’s much-publicised aircraft carrier Vikrant did not dare come within 400 nautical miles of Pakistan’s coastline. He described this as a testament to Pakistan Navy’s superior planning, morale, and preparedness.

The Prime Minister said that the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos reflected the integrated strategy of Pakistan’s armed forces and the leadership of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, whose coordination, according to him, infused new energy into the nation’s morale.

He pointed out that despite the threat of war, Pakistan’s ports remained fully operational, with commercial activity at Karachi and Port Qasim continuing uninterrupted, whereas India’s western coastal operations were visibly disrupted. He remarked that Pakistan’s naval forces had rendered India’s massive naval force ineffective, and that the Rafale aircraft and Vikrant’s failure to respond spoke volumes about Pakistan’s defensive superiority.

PM vows to defend country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity against future aggression

The Prime Minister noted that even India had now acknowledged that the Pakistan Navy had shifted the balance of maritime power in the Gulf, Arabian Sea, and Red Sea. He described this achievement as a victory not just for the Navy but for the entire nation.

While reaffirming Pakistan’s peaceful intentions, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan sought the resolution of all disputes through dialogue, but made it clear that any future aggression would be met with full preparedness and a decisive response. He reiterated that Pakistan was a peace-loving nation but fully capable of defending every inch of its territory.

During his visit, the Prime Minister boarded PNS Taimur, where he was briefed by the Commander Pakistan Fleet on the Navy’s strategic responsibilities, operational readiness, and its role in the ongoing operation.

He appreciated the Navy’s professionalism, resilience, and its role in ensuring uninterrupted maritime trade and guarding Pakistan’s sea frontiers, adding that the Pakistan Navy was fully capable of executing major operations like the historic Operation Dwarka if needed.
