PTI played key role in national unity during crisis: Sher Afzal Marwat
Member of the National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat has said that wars are not won by armies alone but by entire nations, which include all political forces, and it would be a false accusation to suggest PTI did not contribute in this regard.
Speaking on Aaj News show “Rubaroo”, Sher Afzal Marwat highlighted that for the first time, the Director General of ISPR thanked all political forces for their support. He emphasized that PTI’s social media activists played a strong role in defending Pakistan online during recent tensions.
Marwat stated that PTI participated in passing parliamentary resolutions without placing any conditions. “We did not raise the issue of the PTI founder’s release at that time, even though we were being barred from meeting him,” he said.
The MNA further asserted that the PTI founder has been kept in jail for two years without justification. He added that PTI’s government was removed and replaced undemocratically. “If we don’t demand his release, it would be a grave injustice,” he concluded.
