Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has revealed special in-flight celebrations to commemorate the nation’s “historic success” in Operation Bunyanun Marsoos.

The celebrations featured cake-cutting ceremonies across all domestic and international flights, beginning Wednesday.

A spokesperson for PIA explained that this initiative aims to share the national victory with passengers traveling on the airline’s network.

“In-flight hospitality is being extended on all routes to celebrate the success of Operation Bunyanun Marsoos with our passengers,” the spokesperson stated.

The festivities are not confined to domestic routes; cake-cutting ceremonies are also being held on international flights to Toronto, France, Gulf countries, and other destinations, according to the airline’s confirmation.

Earlier, the Pakistani military’s large-scale retaliatory operation against India was officially designated as Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. This name was chosen because it referenced the final words of a Quran verse inscribed on the mihrab of a mosque that had been destroyed in an Indian attack in Muzaffarabad.

On the other hand, India suspended their flight operations at 20 airports across its northern and western regions until May 10, resulting in the cancellation of at least 200 domestic flights, as confirmed by officials on May 7.

Also, the conflict between India and Pakistan had seen significant developments, particularly along the Line of Control (LoC). As both nations navigated the rising hostilities, critical incidents unfolded, underscoring the challenges faced by the Indian military and the strong responses from the Pakistan Army. This situation highlighted the complexities of the conflict as of May 7.
