Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated his strong support for the people of Pakistan, calling them a “brother nation” and praising their restraint and wisdom during recent tensions with India.
Addressing a cabinet meeting, President Erdogan expressed satisfaction over the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, calling it a positive step toward regional stability. He emphasized Turkey’s clear stance on key developments, including the “brutal terrorist attack” in Kashmir and the missile strikes on Pakistani territory.
“We made relentless efforts to defuse the extremely dangerous tension between the two countries,” Erdogan said, adding that he had a meaningful phone conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the situation in depth.
“I once again congratulate my Pakistani brothers for their patience, restraint, and prudent approach,” the Turkish President stated, advising against falling into any provocations.
