Renowned Pakistani singer and actor Azaan Sami Khan recently shared a rare, emotionally stirring video of his late grandfather, Squadron Leader Arshad Sami Khan, in which he can be seen giving an interview alongside fellow Pakistan Air Force officers during the 1965 war.

In his post, Azaan paid tribute to his grandfather’s bravery and achievements, while also saluting the unmatched courage of the PAF officers who defended the nation during the war.

The video shows Squadron Leader Arshad Sami Khan and other officers proudly recounting how the Pakistan Air Force downed Indian MiG fighter jets “like small birds,” expressing both joy and pride in their victories.

The officers detailed how between 9 to 10 Indian MiGs were shot down and also strongly rebutted India’s “false claims” of having downed Pakistani aircraft during the conflict.

They asserted that not a single PAF jet had been brought down by Indian forces, and credited Pakistan’s air warriors for forcing the enemy to retreat through their sheer courage and resilience.

The resurfacing of this footage reignited national pride, with many Pakistanis declaring that even the world’s most advanced fighter jets, such as the French-made Rafales, have failed to overpower the eagles of the Pakistan Air Force.

Even six decades later, the PAF is seen continuing its legacy of excellence, having recently responded robustly to Indian aggression by shooting down six Indian aircraft and drones, further cementing its reputation for air superiority.

The video stands as a powerful reminder of the PAF’s enduring strength and the nation’s unshakable faith in its defenders of the skies.

Adnan Sami faces backlash over support for India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’

Renowned singer Adnan Sami, who acquired Indian citizenship in 2016, recently faced online criticism after expressing support for India’s military action, ‘Operation Sindoor’. The operation was a response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians.

Sami posted slogans in support of Indian Army and a graphic stating “Sindoor se tandoor tak” on his social media, leading to a wave of trolling and criticism from Pakistanis.

Born in the UK to a Pakistani father and Indian mother, Sami moved to India in 2001 and became an Indian citizen in 2016. He has been vocal about his support for India and critical of Pakistan’s political and military leadership.

Azaan Sami Khan is the son of Adnan Sami Khan, who decided to stay in Pakistan despite his father acquiring Indian citizenship. Azaan Sami Khan proved his patriotism and love for Pakistan by supporting the Pakistan Army during the recent escalations by India and glorifying the history of Pak Army’s memorable past.
