The US President has taken to Truth Social to commend the leaders of India and Pakistan for their recent historic decisions. “I am proud that the USA was able to help you arrive at this historic and heroic decision,” he stated.

He announced plans to significantly boost trade with both nations and expressed a desire to collaborate on finding a resolution regarding Kashmir, saying, “I will work with you both to see if, after a ‘thousand years,’ a solution can be arrived at concerning Kashmir.”

In related developments, reports indicate a return to calm in Indian-administered Kashmir. For the first time in two weeks, silence has replaced the sounds of gunfire in Srinagar.

News agencies ANI and PTI reported that the situation appears normalized in several areas, including Poonch, Samba, and Kupwara, where no shelling or drone activity was noted overnight.
