Bollywood star Salman Khan has removed a tweet expressing his gratitude to God for the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, amidst escalating tensions.

Following India’s recent military actions, Pakistan’s armed forces retaliated by shooting down five warplanes, including three Rafale jets, and launching Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, resulting in considerable damage to Indian defenses and an acknowledgment of losses from enemy forces.

The ceasefire, announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, indicated that India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate halt to hostilities with U.S. mediation.

While Indian media has reacted angrily to the ceasefire, Khan faced backlash for his tweet, in which he thanked Allah for the end of hostilities.

This expression of gratitude did not resonate well with many Indians who felt embarrassed by the situation, prompting Khan to delete the tweet.
