Around 150 flights cancelled in Pakistan despite ceasefire
Pakistan’s flight schedule experienced significant disruptions over the weekend, with many flights remaining uncertain today. Despite expectations that flight operations would normalize following the ceasefire, that has not materialized.
Aviation sources report that at least 150 flights have been canceled, including 45 from Karachi Airport, 38 from Lahore, 40 from Islamabad, 10 from Multan, and 11 from Peshawar.
However, today marks the departure of the first three flights to Medina, carrying more than 700 pilgrims.
A private airline flight from Lahore is scheduled to leave for Medina around 2pm.
PIA Flight 7249 will depart at 2:30pm, while PIA Flight 7251 is expected to take off after 4am.

These three flights will operate from Lahore to Medina throughout the morning, providing hope for pilgrims amidst the cancellations.
Previously,Pakistan’s airspace closures, resulting from escalating tensions due to Indian aggression, have prompted Gulf airlines to temporarily suspend their flights to the country. Qatar Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Saudi Airlines have canceled all flights to Pakistan to prioritize passenger safety. Travelers on connecting flights to Pakistan are advised to refrain from going to airports and should contact their booking agents or airline customer service for alternative arrangements.
