Prime Minister Shehabz Sharif congratulated the Pakistani nations and armed forces in his first address to the nation after a ceasefire was agreed between Pakistan and India.

Shehbaz Sharif also thanked US President Donald Trump – who claimed credit for brokering peace, though India maintains the creasefire was agreed between DG MOs – and other world leaders including from Arab world. He profoundly thanked China and Pakistan’s three armed forces, including services chiefs, officers and especially soldiers.

Shehbaz Sharif said India imposed war on Pakistan after the Pahalgam incident despite Islamabad’s offer for a transparent and independent investigation.

He noted that Pakistan successfully shot down Indian Rafale jets, touted as symbol of Indian’s military might by Modi regime. “When the Rafale jets came under our falcons’ aim, they failed.”

Without naming it Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan had withstood the Hindutva aggression. “Our operation was against a rotten ideology — one rooted in enmity toward humanity, aggression, religious fanaticism, and prejudice. We did what befits a dignified nation.”

The prime minister also indicated that Pakistan had set the threshold for military confrontation between India and Paistan. “In recent days what the enemy has done was shameful and cowardly. Our brave army in a spectacular fashion made military history. …In a few hours our jets silenced India’s guns in a way that history will not soon forget.”
