The former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Islamabad following rising tensions with India.

According to sources, he will hold important consultations with his close associates in light of the current national and regional situation.

Sources say that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will provide a detailed briefing to Nawaz on the ongoing wartime circumstances.

In this regard, a key consultative meeting of the senior PML-N leadership is also expected, during which future strategies will be discussed.

Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Ahmed Sharif on Wednesday strongly condemned India’s overnight airstrike, calling it a cowardly act of aggression that led to the martyrdom of 31 Pakistani civilians and injuries to 57 others.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday lauded the Pakistan Armed Forces for delivering a “crushing response” to India’s cowardly night-time attack, declaring that the military had transformed a night into a moonlit symbol of victory with their swift retaliation.
