Seven soldiers embrace martyrdom as BLA terrorist attack in Balochistan: ISPR
In a tragic incident on Tuesday, seven soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while five others sustained injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack by the Indian-backed banned outfit, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), in the Machh area of Kachhi district, Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the cowardly attack targeted a military vehicle patrolling near Machh. The IED had been planted by terrorists affiliated with the outlawed BLA, operating under the patronage of Indian intelligence.
The martyred soldiers have been identified as: Subedar Umar Farooq (42) from Karachi, Naik Asif Khan (28) from Karak, Naik Mashkoor Ali (28) from Orakzai, Sepoy Tariq Nawaz (26) from Lakki Marwat, Sepoy Wajid Ahmed Faiz (28) from Bagh, Sepoy Muhammad Asim (22) from Karak, and Sepoy Muhammad Kashif Khan (28) from Karak.
The ISPR said a clearance operation was immediately launched to eliminate any remaining threats in the area and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

“Security forces remain resolute, alongside the nation, in thwarting all attempts to destabilise peace, stability, and progress in Balochistan. The sacrifices of our brave soldiers only strengthen our resolve,” the statement added.
Condemnations pour In
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, terming it an Indian proxy assault. He paid rich tribute to the martyred personnel, offered condolences to the bereaved families, and prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks.
“These cowardly acts cannot weaken our resolve,” the premier said. “Our brave forces are always ready to defeat the nefarious designs of the enemy. The war against terrorism will continue until its complete eradication.”
President Asif Ali Zardari also denounced the attack and lauded the bravery and patriotism of the martyred soldiers. He specifically paid homage to Subedar Umar Farooq, Naik Asif Khan, and the other martyrs, praying for their families’ strength and fortitude.

“Terrorists are enemies of national progress and Balochistan’s prosperity. They cannot bear to see the province thrive,” President Zardari remarked.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned the attack, affirming that the so-called BLA was engaged in anti-state activities at India’s behest.
“The sacrifices of our martyrs will not go in vain. The terrorists will be brought to justice, and every conspiracy to destabilise Balochistan will be foiled,” Bugti stated. He vowed intensified action against the enemies of peace and extended solidarity with the bereaved families.
