India’s recent attempts to hold Pakistan accountable for the Pahalgam attack have faltered on the global stage, with Pakistan firmly rejecting these allegations during a United Nations meeting.

In a significant turn of events, all five permanent members of the UN Security Council supported Pakistan, leading to mounting criticism of the Modi government within India.

Analysts in India have expressed strong disapproval of the Modi administration, highlighting that the international community seems to side with Pakistan, leaving India diplomatically isolated.

They pointed out that key allies France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, and China have all endorsed Pakistan’s position and dismissed India’s claims.

Notably, even France, a supplier of Rafale jets to India, and the United States, from which India has purchased billions in weapons, have aligned with Pakistan. Furthermore, when Pakistan requested that its name not be mentioned during the UN meeting, no veto power opposed the request.

Pakistan has termed the Pahalgam attack a false flag operation, suggesting it is part of India’s strategy to damage its reputation. A Pakistani representative emphasized that India has not provided any evidence to substantiate its accusations.

Critics in India contend that the government’s policies lack a clear stance on war and peace, resulting in diplomatic setbacks. They warn that if conflict were to arise, it would be the Indian populace who would bear the brunt, potentially leading to significant casualties.

In contrast, Pakistan’s effective diplomatic maneuvers and clear stance in the Security Council are being hailed as significant victories for the nation.
