Asad Qaiser calls for dissolution of assemblies, demands fresh elections
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Speaker of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, has demanded the immediate dissolution of assemblies and the conduct of fresh general elections, citing the country’s deteriorating political and economic situation.
Speaking to Aaj News, Qaiser said Pakistan needs a political reset to overcome its ongoing challenges. “The current political and economic climate requires a fundamental change, and that can only happen through new elections,” he stated.
Responding to a question about his absence from the recent national security briefing, the PTI leader said he had no regrets about not attending. “There is no remorse. Our struggle will continue until our legitimate demands are met,” he affirmed.
Qaiser emphasized that the PTI remains steadfast in its stance and is committed to seeking solutions to public grievances. “Without the dissolution of assemblies and fresh elections, political stability is not possible in the country,” he asserted.
He further criticized the government for its inaction and failure to address public concerns. “The government’s indifference has led to this crisis,” he said.
Reiterating his party’s commitment, Qaiser assured the nation that PTI will not back down from its demands and will continue its movement regardless of the challenges. “We are prepared to make any sacrifice necessary for the welfare of the country,” he concluded.
